Responsibilities

* Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
* Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
* Position patients for ultrasound scan using immobilization and protective equipment as needed.
* Evaluate ultrasound images for quality, exposure, and transmit to PACS.
* Operate ultrasound equipment to provide images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis.
* Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners during interventional ultrasound procedures.
* Use proper safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure patient and employee safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

* Successful completion of an AMA approved School of Ultrasound Technology.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certified or Registry Eligible.
* If registry eligible, must pass registry within two years of hire.

* Active BLS certification

* One year of Ultrasound Tech experience
