MAMMOGRAPHER/SONOGRAPHER

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides mammographic imaging and patient care services at defined levels to patients. Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Utilizes ALARA principles during examinations. Implements radiation protection and safety standards. Provides Breast Sonography imaging Prepares for and assists the physician in procedures, including breast biopsies, localizations and breast aspirations EDUCATION/TRAINING: Completion of accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Experience as a Mammographer and Breast Sonographer # Must provide copy of diploma/degree for highest level of education obtained LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Certification by ARRT in Radiography (RT),# Mammography(M), and Breast Sonography (BS) Current license from IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency).
