Responsibilities

Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.

* Obtain patient history and performs assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
* Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
* Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
* Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

* BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
* Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
* Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board Physician Assistants Task Force obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
* Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

* Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program required.
* Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

* 1 year of experience preferred.
