The SCA creates and maintains demand plans, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from historical data and statistical analysis, along with input from the Executive Team and appropriate business partners from the Commercial and Global Supply Teams.  They then manage the output of that demand plan and related systems parameters in order to optimize the local/country/global inventory position over time, while providing excellent customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (performs other duties as assigned): Enables achievement of overall business and supply chain goals and objectives via activities that create reliable demand plans, constantly improving forecast accuracy to achieve forecast accuracy goals.Leads collaborative forecast and inventory planning meetings (S&OP, TFP, etc.) with business partners and generate comprehensive, accurate consensus sales forecasts.Proposes and maintains adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends, tracks and measures the accuracy of those adjustments.Coordinates cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances between actual demand and forecasts, both prior to submitting new forecasts and after historical data is collected.Creates and provides advanced data analysis and reporting as needed to support all aspects of inventory management, and process improvement.  Develops and maintains dashboards and scorecards. Supports effective execution of all related software and systems as appropriate. Recommends, supports and/or implements enhancements to any and all systems which support forecasting, planning, inventory management and related business areas.Supports processes to determine what material to stock within each location and maintenance of global/local core status.Updates and manages inventory system parameters and attributes, maintaining data integrity by correcting inconsistencies. Optimizes inventory levels by calculating and maintaining planning parameters, making efficient sourcing decisions, and supporting accurate sourcing rules for mill-direct replenishment.Leads, recommends and/or supports projects and analyze data related to the continuous improvement of productivity, inventory turns, lead times, service levels, profitability, and revenue growth.  Provides input to the Supply Chain team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs. Measures and manages the performance of those strategies.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related fieldThree years of demand planning, inventory planning or related experience Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to develop and manage key reports utilizing Business Intelligence tools or similarAbility to develop new ideas in order to improve inventory forecasting, planning and management solutionsAbility to work collaboratively within a cross-functional environmentExperience using ERP/MRP systemsDemonstrated team or project leadership experienceProficient in use of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPointExcellent oral and written communication skills  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:        Master’s Degree in Business (MBA), Supply Chain, or related field         ASCM Certification - CPIM or CSCP         Experience with statistical forecasting tools         Demonstrated proficiency using process Improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma        Experience with Business Intelligence / Data Visualization software.         Knowledge of metals and/or metal distribution industry a plus.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:General office environment (keyboard, mouse, telephone use)Manual dexterity (grasp, hand/wrist movement)We are an Equal Opportunity EmployerPlease view Equal Employment Opportunity Posters provided by OFCCPCompany Overview: Founded in 1890, A.
