Summary You will serve as a Senior IT SPECIALIST (SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION) Subject Matter Expert (SME), Virtualization Systems Administrator, Lead Analyst, and Systems Architect for the Technical Division (Code 109.1) of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF)
Duties
• You will serves as the Senior Systems Administrator/Architect responsible for managing all aspects for the engineering and expert administration of system architectures.
• You will work with multiple vendors to develop highly innovative and virtualized systems environments using the latest technologies.
• You will provide conceptual analysis, requirements analysis, design, implementation, deployment, documentation and maintenance of various applications and support tools.
• You will oversee the virtualized server and network infrastructure and take a leading role in implementing upgrades and patch management across the entire organization.
• You will provide senior technical support to customers who need advice, assistance applying hardware and software systems.
• You will review planned management actions to ensure rigorous compliance with current information security/information assurance regulations.
• You will exercise leadership or project manager responsibilities when required

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing the design and management of datacenter architecture and associated systems to ensure optimization and functionality of support systems and networks
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving
