*Job Summary:*

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical (MedSurg) and Telemetry units provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. This role involves the use of telemetry equipment to monitor patients' vital signs and manage complex medical conditions.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Patient Care:*
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
* Monitor and interpret patients' vital signs using telemetry equipment.
* Assist with procedures and provide post-operative care.
* *Telemetry Monitoring:*
* Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and report any abnormalities to the healthcare team.
* Respond promptly to changes in patients’ conditions and intervene appropriately.
* *Collaboration and Communication:*
* Collaborate with physicians, healthcare team members, and patients’ families to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
* Educate patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries and post-hospital care.
* *Documentation:*
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documentation of nursing actions, patient responses, and medications administered.
* *Quality and Safety:*
* Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures.
* Ensure a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
* *Professional Development:*
* Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
* Maintain current nursing licensure and certifications.

*Qualifications:*
* *Education:*
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
* BSN preferred.
* *Licensure/Certification:*
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [State].
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
* Telemetry certification preferred.
* *Experience:*
* Previous experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry unit preferred.
* New graduates with strong clinical skills may be considered.
