Novo Peak Health has been an innovative and progressive force in the Eldercare industry for over 20 years; providing physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and assistive devices program services (ADP) to long-term care and retirement homes, and community-based locations across Ontario. We have a strong, clinician led management team with industry-related experience available to support the onsite team.

Novo Peak Health is currently looking for a Part-time Physiotherapist Assistant to provide services in a home in Port Hope, ON.

We are looking for Physiotherapist Assistants with a strong interest in eldercare, who are passionate about what they do, who place their residents and quality care as the focus, and who are great communicators with excellent interpersonal skills.

The Physiotherapist Assistant will work well both independently and in collaboration with their Supervising Physiotherapist and the interdisciplinary team, at large with a collective focus to offer excellence in every facet of the resident's care plan and promote resident health, well-being and quality of life. They will carry out assigned treatments forming the physiotherapy care plan for residents, and document interventions in the resident file.

We promote continuing education, encourage continued learning, provide monthly educational tips to the team at large, and hold an annual conference because we value professional growth and each therapist's desire to learn.

Key Qualifications:

* Diploma in Physiotherapist Assistant program or relevant discipline
* Previous eldercare/geriatric experience is an asset
* Dementia related experience and education (i.e., Gentle Persuasive Approach) as well as knowledge of RAI-MDS and Point Click Care are an asset
* Current Vulnerable Sector Screen (within the last year) (can be done upon hiring)
* 2 Step TB Test (within the last year) (can be done upon hiring)
* Fully vaccinated against COVID 19

Monday: 8:30 am - 3:45 pm

Wednesdays: 8:30 am - 3 pm
