Responsibilities

The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination. This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services. The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing or RN Multistate License from the NCL required.
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC) required.
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) required.

Preferred Job Requirements:

* OB nursing certification preferred.
* EFM certification preferred.
