+ POSITION SUMMARY:

+ Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager/designee establishes, maintains and enhances systems within the unit to achieve positive outcomes. This includes planning, initiation and evaluation of all aspects of Clinical issues, nursing practice and customer service

+ QUALIFICATIONS:

+ EDUCATION:

+ Minimum :

+ Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program.

+ Preferred :

+ Bachelors Degree in Nursing and/or certification in individual specialty.

+ LICENSE:

+ Minimum :

+ Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.

+ PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

+ Minimum :

+ BLS, PALS, and ENPC required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.

+ WORK EXPERIENCE:

+ Minimum :

+ One year LTC experience

+ Preferred :

+ Two or more years LTC experience

+ SKILLS:

+ Minimum :

+ One year of Med-Surg experience or LTC Charge Nurse experience.

+ Demonstrated leadership abilities.

+ Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.

+ Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.

+ Computer literacy required

+ Preferred :

+ Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Power Point.

+ Salary Range: $39.20-$43.85
