The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, and configuration of the Office of Military Commissions' Network Infrastructure across multiple locations, operating a broad range of network technologies
This role demands expertise in delivering tasks of similar size/scope, with a focus on ensuring the network infrastructure is securely configured in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) Cyber Security Policy
The Senior Network Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the OMC's mission by leading the network engineering and installation support, managing switches, routers, data circuits for OMC Voice, Data, and Video Systems, and ensuring optimal network performance
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead the operation and maintenance support efforts for all OMC NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS Network Infrastructure located in NSGB, and Special Access System Network Infrastructure located in both the NCR and NSGB.
* Install, monitor, manage, and support switches, routers, and data circuits for OMC Voice, Data, and Video Systems.
* Ensure Network Infrastructure is securely configured in accordance with DoD Cyber Security Policy.
* Maintain a broad understanding and deep knowledge across all applicable network technologies, advising the OMC Information Technology Division in the utilization and integration of innovative technologies in support of OMC Network requirements.
* Lead OMC engineering and installation (E&I) support for inside/outside plant LAN wiring & fiber optic cable terminations.
* Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot OMC Network Encryption device operation.
* Ensure proper IP Address allocation to optimize network performance and maintain network security.
* Lead efforts to troubleshoot network issues and outages, coordinating with internal and external entities to resolve complex networking issues.
Skill Requirements:
• 10+ years of DoD Network Engineering Experience
• 7+ years of experience delivering tasks of a similar size/scope Required Certifications: At least one of the following DoD 8570.01M certifications:
• CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)
* Continuing Education (CE), or International Information Systems Security Certifications Consortium (ISC)
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) AND Required Computing Environment Certification listed below:
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Enterprise Security:
