Position Description: We seek a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering maternal healthcare services through our mobile medical unit. Our mobile medical unit is a vital resource, reaching those facing barriers to traditional healthcare facilities in Martin County, FL. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, culturally sensitive, and dedicated to addressing the unique needs of minority populations. The Certified Nurse Midwife will provide expert care throughout the prenatal and postpartum periods, focusing on promoting maternal and infant health. Midwifery support will not be needed during the labor and delivery period at this time.

The midwife's responsibilities include identifying high-risk pregnancies, referring patients to obstetricians as needed, and mentoring student midwives. The midwife will be patient, compassionate, and able to handle difficult situations. Ultimately, an exceptional midwife will gain patients' trust and demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing or the equivalent (MS/MSN).
  • Completion of a midwifery educational program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education.
  • Certified to practice by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
  • Active and unrestricted license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
  • Current unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BSL) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
