We are looking for the right individual to fill a full-time Delivery Driver & Warehouse/Fab Shop Utility position at our Fabrication Shop & Warehouse in Rock Island, IL. This person is responsible for transporting and dropping off items at our area operations. The ability to receive and delivery in an efficient and organized way, and speaking with a wide range of individuals is a must. Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed. Candidates must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class B) or have the ability to obtain it in a timely manner. The position will also require the ability to perform heavy lifting and rigorous physical activity.

Delivery Driver Candidate Requirements:

  • A focus on safety
  • Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
  • Ability to maintain a valid Class B-CDL license w/ air brake endorsement, or receive said license immediately after hire.
  • Motor vehicle record that meets applicable minimum requirements
  • Forklift experience or certification a plus, but will train

Major Delivery Driver responsibilities include:

  • Performing all duties at the highest level of safety
  • Performing vehicle pre-trip compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
  • Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving, ensuring that all delivery materials and quantities are accurate and secured
  • Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you
  • Completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
  • Keeping delivery truck clean and organized
  • Assisting in fabrication shop/warehouse tasks as needed when not operating the delivery truck
  • Operating forklift for stocking, loading and organizing materials in warehouse as needed
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
