JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role of a CNA Trainee requires attention to detail and an eye for quality. They are responsible for ensuring that the units they oversee are clean, well-maintained, and safe for residents. The role is also to provide nursing support services by performing resident-related services, which an unlicensed aide can do.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assisting in Meal Service for the residents

* Stocking and keeping track of inventory on the unit

* Making sure the Unit is clean and in line with NYS long-term care regulations

* Assisting with other tasks on the Unit under the UA scope of practice

* Mingling with the residents of the Unit

* Act as Support Staff

* Any other requests are given throughout the shift to make sure the Unit is operating efficiently

REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Able to follow written and verbal instructions
* Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness
* Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
* Covid Vaccinated
