About The Role


As a Physician Practice Acquisition Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and leading the acquisition process for psychiatry and therapy practices across the United States. You will leverage your expertise in sales, healthcare administration, financial analysis, and strategic planning to facilitate successful acquisitions that align with our organization's objectives and growth strategies.


Responsibilities


Market Research and Identification:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential psychiatry and therapy practices for acquisition.
  • Utilize various resources and networks to identify target practices, including databases, industry publications, and professional associations.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform acquisition strategies.

Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Evaluate potential acquisition targets based on criteria such as financial performance, patient demographics, service offerings, and geographic location.
  • Conduct due diligence activities, including financial analysis, legal review, and operational assessments, to assess the viability and compatibility of target practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operations teams, to evaluate acquisition opportunities and mitigate risks.

Negotiation and Deal Structuring:

  • Lead negotiations with practice owners and stakeholders to reach favorable terms and conditions for acquisition agreements.
  • Develop creative deal structures that align with the needs and objectives of both parties, ensuring a mutually beneficial outcome.
  • Coordinate with legal and financial advisors to draft and finalize acquisition documents, including letters of intent, purchase agreements, and transition plans.

Integration Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive integration plans to facilitate a seamless transition post-acquisition.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute integration activities, including systems integration, staff onboarding, and patient communication.
  • Monitor post-acquisition performance and address any issues or challenges that arise during the integration process.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with practice owners, physicians, and key stakeholders throughout the acquisition process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for acquisition candidates, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive experience.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for our organization, promoting our values and commitment to quality care in all interactions.


Requirements


  • Prior experience leading practice acquisition process end-to-end is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in healthcare mergers and acquisitions, with specific experience in physician practice acquisitions highly desirable.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial statements, assess valuation metrics, and develop financial models.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and industry trends.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to conduct site visits and meet with acquisition candidates.

Additional Information

The expected base pay for this role will be between US $120,000 – US $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment not including significant bonus component. However, base pay will be determined individually and impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Psychplus Health-sponsored benefits.
