Public safety behavioral health clinician to serve approximately :
• Serves as the lead clinical manager with oversight of the four public safety
• Serves as Peer Support Team oversight, which includes team recruitment and retention.
• As the clinical manager of the Peer Support Teams, the offeror will interface with other clinicians, mental health providers, and employee assistance program therapists
• serves to support public safety line of duty deaths and serious injuries as initial contact for behavioral death issues in circumstances of critical incidents and coordinates initial response and planning to mitigate any critical incident.
• Serves to assist in the development and delivery of behavioral health and wellness educational materials within the public safety agencies on topics such as, but not limited to, tobacco cessation, employee assistance programs, job stress, workplace violence, suicide, and substance abuse.
• accessible to employees 40 hours per week at an on-site location

Requirement:
Must be a licensed Behavioral Health Clinician with a Doctorate level education in psychology or master's degree in Counseling Psychology.


• Must be a Virginia-licensed clinical psychologist with at least five years of experience as a mental health treatment provider working directly with emergency medical services personnel or public safety personnel.

• Must be certified as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS).

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in the Addiction and Behavioral Health Field.

The City of Alexandria desires for the Behavioral Health Clinician would also include the following:


• Certified as an EMDR Professional (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) through EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and trauma professional.

• Currently Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider BC-TMH.

• At least five (5) years' experience working in a Law Enforcement or military/paramilitary culture.

• Ability to navigate diverse cultures (civilian, medical, military.)

• Experience with clinical case management.

• A staffing plan is required, which describes the Offeror's proposed staff distribution to accomplish this work. The staffing plan should indicate a chart that partitions the time commitment of each professional staff member across the proposed tasks and a timeline for the contract.
