About the Position
Become an Official/Umpire
Saint Paul Municipal Athletics are looking for dependable, enthusiastic and knowledgeable candidates to officiate youth and adult sports for the Saint Paul Park and Recreation athletic leagues. Officials have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of sports at various Recreation Centers in St. Paul. Previous sports officiating experience preferred but not required.
We are looking for officials for the following sports:
Youth:
Futbal/Indoor Soccer (March-April) $20.00- $25.00
Volleyball (March-April) $20.00-$25.00
Baseball (May-July) $25.00- $80.00
Softball (May-July) $27.00- $65.00
Football (August - October) $30.00-$45.00
Flag Football (August - October) $25.00
Outdoor Soccer (August - October) $20.00-$25.00
Basketball (November - February) $20.00-$25.00
Adult:
Softball (March - October) $27.00-$80.00
Baseball (April- August) $60.00-$95.00
Volleyball (September - February) $25.00
Basketball (November - February) $30.00
Broomball (December- February) $25.00
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to take the initiative to do the work that needs to be done

• Ability to understand and apply rules

• Good decision making skills
• Ability to deal with the public diplomatically
Physical Demands:
• Ability to run for extended periods of time while officiating
• Work is performed indoors/ outdoors in all kinds of weather
Reporting Relationships:
Report to Saint Paul Municipal Athletics Staff and or Assignor.

• Complete CDC Concussion Awareness Training upon hire
