Responsibilities

Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies consistent with student scope of practice.

* Administer medications and treatment based on patient outcomes, under appropriate supervision.
* Deliver and assess patient response to ordered therapy.
* Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
* Provide patient education for diseases, medications, and treatment.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

* BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

* High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.

Additional Preferences

Current enrollment in CO-ARC accredited Respiratory Therapy program in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher); First or second years students are eligible. BLS required upon hire; ACLS and PALS required upon hire or obtained within first 6 months of hire.
