Purpose of Position or Position Summary:

The Hospital Paramedic is responsible for performing quality patient care in an expanded in-hospital scope of practice in accordance with Maine EMS Treatment Protocols, Maine EMS PIFT protocols, physician orders, procedures, and established standards and administrative protocols.

Position Minimum Requirements

Education/License

+ Successful completion of Paramedic level training

+ Current Maine State Licensed Paramedic

+ ACLS, PALS and BLS Certification

+ Maine PIFT Certification

+ Advanced Paramedic Certifications preferred (CCEMT-P,FP-C)

Experience

+ Minimum 5 years as a practicing pre-hospital Paramedic

Skills

+ Analytical, Computer, Customer Relations, Filing, following verbal and written instructions, Grammar/Spelling, Interpersonal, Mathematical, Medical Terminology, Organizational, Read/Comprehend written Instructions, Telephone, Verbal.
