Responsibilities

In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by:

* Transcribe the physical examination, clinical impression, and plan, between the patient and physician, in real-time.
* Provide diagnosis specific new patient educational handouts, edit existing handouts, and create new educational information as needed.
* Prep new patient information into appropriate progress note in EMR.
* Conduct online research as requested by physician.
* Navigate the electronic medical record, PACS, and hospital portals.
* Maintain patient confidentiality.
* Format reports according to established guidelines.
* Maintain equipment and work area as directed.
* Recognize and report unusual circumstances and/or information with possible risk factors to supervisor or dictator.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum one (1) year of scribe experience (or) graduate from a Scribe Training Program.
* Proficient in Microsoft applications.
* 60 WPM typing proficiency required.

What You Bring to the Team:

* Personable, effective at multitasking, high regard for excellent customer service and sensitivity, and team orientated.
* Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Application, iKnowMed (preferred, but not required) Centricity (preferred, but not required).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience working with physicians and medical assistants, preferably in a Urology setting.
* Current CPR certification a plus.
* Bachelor's Degree or other healthcare related coursework including anatomy, physiology and/or medical terminology preferred.

Masks may be requested in all Arizona Oncology facilities regardless of vaccination status. COVID vaccination is recommended.
