Current Needs / Shifts: Full-time positions available with 12-hour shifts covering days and nights.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to incarcerated individuals within Virginia's correctional facilities.
  • Conduct health assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patient conditions closely and provide prompt intervention as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and promote positive health outcomes.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN licensure in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
  • Previous experience in correctional or behavioral health settings preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical software and equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
