Position Description:
Full-time, 11 months/year, 35 hours/week. Responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients through interpersonal contact, providing services to allow patients to attain or maintain the highest attainable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Jamestown Community College Health Clinic standards. Assists with oversight of the day-to-day nurse-led operations of the Health Center. Advances evidence-informed health promotion initiatives in the campus population. Assists with long-range health and wellness planning including preparation of goals, objectives, budgets, and reports for the Health Center.
Essential Functions:
* Provides clinical nursing services for students and employees, including but not limited to first aid, health counseling, and referrals.
* Advises students of NYS immunization requirements and assists with the collection and recording of data.
* Assists with the implementation, collection, and review of confidential nursing student and faculty physical examination documents and determines eligibility for clinical practice.
* Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates campus wide health and wellness education programs that affect health behaviors and support academic success.
* Assists with the development and implementation of employee wellness initiatives.
* May teach classes as a Certified CPR/AED/First Aid instructor on all campus sites, as needed or assigned.
* Supports Human Resources and Buildings and Grounds with implementation of the following:
* New York State (NYS) Right to Know and Federal Hazard Communication laws.
* Blood-borne Pathogen Exposure Control Plan
* Tuberculosis Control Plan
* NYS Department of Health Infection Control regulations, and
* Chemical Hygiene Plan
* Assists with the formulation and implementation of Health Center policies and procedures.
* Travels to other campus health centers and extension sites to provide nursing services when needed.
* Performs other health-related duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications:
Required: AAS degree in Nursing and licensed in New York State plus a minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience. Current CPR certification.
Preferred: BSN degree. Knowledge and experience in public/community health, school health, or occupational health nursing.
Additional Information:
Salary: $26.47 - $32.93/hour. Excellent benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, and NYS retirement.
