Fairfax, VAHybrid Full-time $130,000.00 - $165,000.00Posted 04/19/2024Position Overview: The Roadway Engineer Practice Lead is a highly experienced professional responsible for leading the engineering services in the design of roadway and highway systems. The Practice Lead will provide both technical and project leadership in the planning, design, and implementation of projects.Key Responsibilities:Lead the overall roadway engineering practice, including the development and implementation of new initiatives to keep up with industry standards.Serve as a mentor and guide to junior engineers, helping them develop their engineering and technical skills.Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Conduct research on various transportation and traffic engineering topics.Analyze data and develop reports and recommendations.Communicate project progress to stakeholders effectively.Develop and review plans and specifications for roadway projects.Monitor the performance, safety, and reliability of roadway systems.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Professional Engineer (PE) certification.Extensive experience in roadway, highway, transportation, and traffic engineering.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.BenefitsApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.Preferred Skillsroadway engineeringAutoCADTeam Leadership
