The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of:

School Nurse, Middle School for 2024-2025

Qualifications: Certification as an LPN or RN

Length of Employment: 9 months

Salary: Starting rate is $20.75/hour for LPN and $22.75/hour for RN, with possibility of increase based

on education and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Promotes and protects the optimal health status of school-age children
* Provides health assessments
* Obtains a health history and keeps track of students' vaccination records
* Screens and evaluates findings of deficits in vision, hearing, growth, etc.
* Develops and implements a student health plan when needed
* Utilizes existing health resources to provide appropriate care of students
* Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness
* Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
* Works collaboratively with other nurses in the district
* Dispenses students' prescribed medications
* Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene
* Tracks visits to health room and documents all visits
* Other duties as needed to meet needs of students in building
