Responsibilities

Provide support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.

* Arrive to the scene of an emergency, determine the situation, and develop a plan of action.
* Use appropriate medical equipment and comprehend the severity of the injury.
* Monitor patient condition and perform data collection. Communicate findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).
* Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

* BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
* Drivers License credentialed from the Michigan Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
* Licensed Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

* High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
