JOB SUMMARY SPS Technician are not yet certified and will be required to train under the direct supervision of SPS Technician 3 or other assigned trainer for a minimum of 60 days. While training, the SPS Technician Non-Certified will perform duties including decontamination, instrument assembly, packaging, sterilization and case cart assembly. As required, job skills will be assessed and validated by their trainer and the SPS Site Manager before completion of the training program. This role and completion of the training program will prepare the SPS Tech for obtaining Sterile Processing Distribution Technician Certification and promotion to SPS Tech 1. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Licensure, Certification, Registration Must obtain \Sterile Processing Distribution Technician Certification\ from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Inc. (CBSPD) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from IAHCSMM within 24 months of hire (in accordance with CT state law). We take great care of careers.
