As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a talented Senior Automation Engineer to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.What a Senior Automation Engineer Does:Play a critical role in the design, implementation, and support of industrial control systems. You will work closely with clients to understand their requirements and develop innovative solutions using state-of-the-art automation technology.Day to Day
Specifying automation and electrical components and software to meet customer specifications, application requirements, and industrial standards.
Designing and configuring PLC programs to optimize performance or resolve complex controls issues.
Supporting commissioning and startup of control systems, with the ability to identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues.
Providing on-site and remote support for installed systems, including technical service assistance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Determining the root cause of electrical, mechanical, and software failures and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
Organizing and maintaining project files to ensure accurate documentation and efficient project management.
Working collaboratively with project managers and the engineering manager to schedule and prioritize tasks effectively.
Leading and training other automation engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.Qualifications to be Successful
5+ years of experiencein the design and implementation of industrial control systems or control panels, with a strong background in PLC programming.
AS/BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology or demonstrated experience in the industry.
Experience preferred in one or more of the following automation platforms: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, GE, Omron, Automation Direct, Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion, ABB 800xA, FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Tatsoft, Ignition, iFix, Wonderware, as well as AC drives, DC drives, motion control, robotics, machine vision, and functional safety.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.Benefits Our Client Offers
