The Lead PE will be managing the execution of the space/reflector development to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks and leading a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments in a growing business area
Essential Functions:
• Develops, oversees and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing engineering projects within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
* Reviews status of engineering projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
* Assesses engineering issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
* Identifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and dispositions program-level risks.
* Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.
* Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
* Provides the coordination between technical and supply chain teams to ensure all necessary material and subcontracts are received when needed.
* Participate and lead on small to medium size teams and perform a wide variety of tasks.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
* Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS).
* Experience with project engineering and program execution and managing multi-discipline programs across multiple locations.
* Experience in hardware/software integration programs.
* Experience managing projects with budgets of $40M+
* Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management.
* Experience with reflector/antenna space design programs and activities, or experience with developing a ground architecture (hardware/software/comm/etc), that will support satellite communications and collection.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• STEM or engineering degrees preferred.
* Experience leading Government Contract development programs.
* Experience with Government contract acquisition lifecycle.
* Experience with management of design to cost activities.
* Experience with program pursuit and proposal activities.
* Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques.
