Primary Scheduled Hours: 72 hours Day shift -

* 48 hrs. dedicated to OB
* 24 hrs. dedicated to Float Pool which could include any department in District with RN needs.

Job Summary:

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Acute Care and/or Emergency setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. Is able to triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the Acute Care or Emergency Room system. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with PCP physician about changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Will be expected to orient and/or float to Acute Care, ER, OB, Outpatient and Surgery.

* 24 bed Rural Community Hospital - Trauma Level IV
* 15 providers Rural Health Clinic
* 72 bed, high level care, Advanced Assisted Living Facility
* 42 apartment; low-moderate care level Assisted Living Facility



Education Background and Experience:

Minimum Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Required Licensure / Certifications:

Current RN license within the state of Washington.

Current BLS Certification.

ACLS - Preferred

TNCC - Preferred

ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Preferred

Required Experience:

Prefers Experience in Med-Surg. and/or Emergency, but willing to train new graduates.

Preferred Qualifications:

Six (6) months of RN experience but willing to train a new graduate. Epic experience preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

* Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
* Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes; neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population.
* Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
* Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
* Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring identifies dysrhythmias and treats appropriately.
* Maintains accurate and continued nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses and assessment of changes.
* Follows medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors.

Compensation/How We Care For You:

Successful candidates typically begin between the beginning and midpoint of the compensation range ($38.04 - 53.03/hour) dependent on qualifications/experience and receive compensation increment increases annually.
