The PACU Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Post Anesthesia Care patients working with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical staff, and other personnel by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Bill Rate ***

***x8s, Mon-Fri, (7:30a-4p), with on call every 3rd day and every 3rd weekend; Weekend on Call schedule (Fri 1600 Mon 0700). May be asked to float to other units or traveler may be asked to leave due to low census

BLS, ACLS & PALS all required. TNCC is preferred.

Agency personnel will need to take call for nights, holidays, and weekends. The on call schedule will alternate with the permanent staff we have at our facility. Right now, we believe the on call needs would be 3 dates a week and every other weekend, the on call may not need to be this much; however, we don't know the full needs of our team right now.
