Responsibilities

Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluates effectiveness of treatments.

* Assess patients for nutritional status. Provide interventions/treatments including diet therapy, counseling or specialized nutrition supplements.
* Collaborate with physicians, nursing and ancillary services such as speech pathology or physical therapy.
* Monitor tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional regimen and recommend therapy adjustments as necessary. Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluate effectiveness of treatments.
* Provide nutrition information for the community that may include public speaking, news releases and other forms of publications.
* Research and take initiatives to resolve nutrition care related complaints and problems.
* Assist in monitoring meals including intake, diet compliance and tray accuracy. Maintain sanitation of food preparation area(s) through planned and unannounced inspections.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

* Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

* High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

* Bachelors degree in Nutrition required
* Registered Dietitian required
* Flexible
* 3 years Pediatric experience preferred
