Job Description Summary:

The position assists in the coordination of standardized patient educational activities and program operations, ensuring they reflect and further the mission and values of the KUSM-W.

This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet student needs.

Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience: Proficient in managing and using computerized databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

Work Experience:

* Experience working with standardized patient/simulation programs.
* Experience working with medical students, faculty members, and/or residents.
* Experience working in a medical school setting.
* Experience in clinical education.
* Experience in a patient care setting.
* Experience in acting or theater direction.

Skills: Effective communication skills.

Job Duties:

* Lead New Standardized Patient (SP) Orientation.
* Coordinate and oversee events for School of Medicine Year 3.
* Confirm event schedules with clinical department clerkship coordinators.
* Input and maintain the event schedules within the database system.
* Responsible for event preparations.
* Follow department record-keeping practices and assure confidentiality and security at all times.
* Participate in appropriate professional organizations as directed by SP supervisor.
* Serve as backup for coordination of School of Pharmacy and School of Medicine Years 1 and 2 events.

Comprehensive Benefits Package:

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
