Data Science Event Coordinator (Senior)

• This is a full time position located in Reston.
• The customer requires an experienced administrator and event coordinator to create engaging employee experiences for people across the IC by that increases awareness, understanding, and adoption of Data Science initiatives.
• Understanding and/or experience with the data science landscape across the IC is strongly preferred.
• This individuals will craft clear and compelling communications for use across a variety of platforms to support the customer mission.
• They organize internal meetings and seminars, interact with high-profile external speakers, and provide communication guidance to a busy office.
• They foster and manage relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
• They support the strategy and execution of critical events, including industry data science seminars, conferences, and training courses
Required qualifications include:
• Seven years of relevant professional experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the Sponsor organization and agency
• Confidence to run large meetings and conduct outreach
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to organize a large conference
• Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency with: Microsoft Suite of tools, WordPress or other web content creation tool, creating reliable financial reports and budget allocation
• Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event
• Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events and documenting process and knowledge (SOPs)
• Experience preparing and editing both verbal and written communication materials and briefings
• Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
• Ability to operate in a highly matrixed team environment
• Experience developing content to reach an IC audience
• Experience developing, executing, and analyzing surveys
• Knowledge of internal communications platforms to reach employees in a hybrid workforce
