Health and Human Services Department - Public Health Division - Full-Time (37.5 hours/week), Project position -
Seeking a qualified individual to join Portland Public Health's dynamic clinical team as a Disease Intervention Specialist. Position will involve working within the context of a multi-disciplinary team to provide community outreach, individual case management, health education and clinical services. Experience with STD/HIV/Hepatitis C prevention and good working knowledge of issues related to mental health and substance use disorder strongly desired. Must have good communication skills, ability to implement and evaluate program objectives, and comfort working independently. Bachelor's degree in social service, health education or related field desired. Must possess Maine Class C driver's license and have a personal vehicle available for work use. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of satisfactory criminal background check.
This is a Pro-Tech Union position - Grade 6 - Pay range starting at $25.50/hour. Accepting applications until vacancy is filled
