Responsible for purchasing and negotiating drugs/medications and supplies from vendors. Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage daily medication orders from wholesaler
  • Place specialty drug orders through outside vendors
  • Coordinate medication procurement
  • Optimize medication inventory par levels to avoid stock-outs and reduce waste

Requirements:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Tech in state of Illinois
  • Certification
  • 1-3 years previous experience in the field or in a related area
