Description

Fixed dental technicians are responsible for the creation of quality fixed prosthetic dental products. This position will perform a variety of fized work including opaquing, building, contouring and stainging/glazing.. The dental technician will review and follow prescriptions and strive to meet daily production requirements.
  • Fabricate fixed prosthodontic restorations including Full Zirconia, PFM, PFZ and Full Arch Restorations
  • Meet or exceed production numbers and department goals
  • Read prescription forms or specifications to determine the design of the restoration to be fabricated
  • Fabrication processes vary based on the appliance, but may include the following

o Sandblast/prep

o Opaque

o Build

o Contour

o Stain/Glaze

o Quality Control
  • Safely and correctly operate/maintain all equipment & hand pieces
  • Maintain department supply inventory
  • Follow procedures and protocols

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 years' experience
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
  • Hand/eye coordination
  • Ability to work using magnification
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to plan and prioritize workflow, complete tasks on time
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving
  • Ability to learn and implement new procedures
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma or equivalent, CDT appreciated
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
