DescriptionThe staff Operating Room RN, under the supervision of the OR Nurse Supervisor and Director of Nursing; is responsible for the safety of the patient while in the OR and by assessment of the individual patient and procedure, he/she anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environments. Assists in completing discharge planning, assists and/or performs procedures that are within the scope of nursing practice. He/she seeks assistance and support when necessary, assists in data collection, organizes those aspects of patient care for which she/he is responsible, and maintains accountability for own practice and those functions he/she delegates. Within a specific work period, plans, implements, and evaluates care that is consistent with overall admission to post-discharge plan. He/she practices within accepted ethical and legal parameters of nursing.
Requirements
Education: Graduate from accredited School of Nursing
Experience: 6 months clinical experience and recent clinical experience in OR circulating- preferred
Specific Skills: Nursing
Computer Skills: Basic Computer skills required
Licenses: Current Arizona RN License
Certifications: BLS- required upon hire
ACLS, PALS preferred
