Job Overview:

RWJBH Medical Surgical Unit is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator for our NOURISH dedicated orientation unit.

Qualifications:

Required:

+ BSN

+ At least 5 years experience as Medical Surgical Educator in the acute hospital setting

+ At least 5 years experience as Medical Surgical Educator in the acute hospital setting

+ National certification for clinical specialty

+ Strong communication, organizational skills, and presentation skills

+ Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

+ MSN or must be enrolled in MSN program nearing completion

Certifications and Licenses Required:

+ BLS and ACLS Certification

+ Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Scheduling Requirements:

+ Day Shift

+ Monday Friday, some weekend commitment, flexible schedule required

+ FT

Essential Functions:

+ Plan and design orientation plan for orientees, develop and provide continuing education, provide in-service programs in accordance with the requirements of NJ Board of Nursing current regulatory guidelines the Code of Ethics and institutional guidelines

+ Implement and evaluate educational activities/programs for the dedicated orientees

+ Develop and maintain employee records

+ Serve as a resource person for education and promoted education in the Nursing Division

+ Responsible for maintaining competencies as required by regulatory agencies

+ Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and deliver education to ensure quality and best practice
