For our prestigious project in downtown San Francisco, we would like to expand our team with an experienced Project HSE Manager who would adhere to the company's established culture and policies. Candidates that meet the qualifications will have worked in construction health and safety for at least five years, preferably with large subcontractors or general contractors.Position Overview: The Project HSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and managing a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) program and safety culture throughout a variety of projects, including hotels, residential, historic renovation, and redevelopment projects. This position will report to the Vice President of HSE.Key Responsibilities:Participates in our HSE Department's jobsite Project Management Team in order to carry out our HSE Site Specific Program. Leads safety onboarding and training for employees and subcontractors at specific sites. Plan, coordinate, and carry out construction activities in close collaboration with the project team. Compiles and examines HSE documentation that has been submitted in order to support building operations. Provide HSE education, coaching, and mentoring to project team members and employees. When required, offers HSE training. Examine surveys related to hazardous materials, create work plans and provide training related to hazardous materials work Conduct and monitor necessary HSE training at work sites and with company staff.Assists project management with accident investigation and root cause analysis; responds to HSE problems.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree as well as at least five years of expertise with construction HSE.Understanding of managing hazardous materials, such as lead, asbestos, silica, etc.Familiarity with structural work, seismic retrofitting, and demolition.Knowledge of managing commercial construction projects, both big and smallExperience in complex ground up, cultural center, country club, higher education, and retail projectsProficiency in developing and implementingBenefitsMedical insuranceVision insuranceDental insurance401(k)Commuter benefitsDisability insuranceApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.Preferred SkillsOSHA 510OSHA 5109OSHA 500Project HSE ManagerHSEConstructionSafetyHSE DepartmentHotelResidential
