Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Nittany Valley

Pleasant Gap, PA

Encompass Health Nittany Valley is seeking a full-time dietitian for our acute inpatient rehab hospital located in Pleasant Gap. The Dietitian plans therapeutic diets and confers with patients, doctors, nursing staff and patient family members concerning these diets. The position monitors Nutrition Services provided to patients to ensure that standards of care are met in accordance with all associated regulatory agencies and the administrative policies of the hospital. The Dietitian instructs patients in diets for home use prior to discharge and as outpatients. The Dietitian monitors past and present nutritional status and makes recommendations to the health care team based on available data. To ensure the accuracy of food production as related to modified diets, the Dietitian acts in a supervisory capacity, as needed and performs other project assignments.

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Nittany Valley is a 46-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital located in Pleasant Gap, PA, just minutes from State College, PA and Penn State University. At Encompass Health you will work as part of a clinical team to assist patients returning to their highest level of function following injury or illness. Encompass Health Nittany Valley is accredited by the Joint Commission, with Disease Specific Certifications in Stroke, Brain Injury, Parkinson's Disease, Heart Failure, and Pulmonary.

Qualifications

License or Certification: - Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association - Pennylvania LDN required - Education, Vocational Training and Experience: - Bachelor Science or advanced degree preferred from an accredited institution, with a major in Food & Nutrition. - One year experience in Clinical Dietetics preferred.
