The Division of Counseling and Psychology at Rivier University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice position for those who desire to teach but also want to maintain their practice as a Psychologist. This will be an in-person, full-time, non-tenure track, renewable, 9-month per year appointment in the Division of Counseling and Psychology. The position will primarily include responsibilities in the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Counseling and School Psychology program, but may include responsibilities in the graduate programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and School Psychology. The new faculty member will join the core Counseling and Psychology faculty in the training of graduate students, with the following primary responsibilities:

* This position anticipates that the practitioner maintains their independent clinical practice to the extent that it also allowed them to fulfill their teaching responsibilities. We desire that faculty practice what they teach and that they continue to directly meet the community need for psychologists.
* Maintain professional and licensure requirements commensurate with teaching graduate studies and supervising practicum and internship experiences. Hold a license as a psychologist in the state of New Hampshire.
* Assume teaching, advisement, and mentoring responsibilities for graduate students in counseling and school psychology. Opportunities for face-to-face and online teaching. Mentoring as an experienced clinical professional is highly desired.
* Serve on doctoral research and dissertation committees.
* Provide University-based supervision for students completing practicums and internships.
* Participate in student and program data collection and assessment.
* Participate in ongoing program growth and development, particularly with respect to the integration of social justice throughout all program experiences.
* Participate in recruitment, retention, and enrollment opportunities to attract and retain a diverse group of graduate and doctoral students.
* Provide service to the programs and the University.
* Join an experienced and talented faculty to model collaboration for student success as counselors and school psychologists.

Applicants with the following experience, knowledge, and scholarship are encouraged to apply:

* Ongoing practice as a psychologist including 5 years of experience with psychotherapy and counseling and/or psychological testing. Expertise with one or more evidenced-based clinical psychotherapeutic approaches.
* Earned doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program, with a minimum of five years of academic or clinical practice.
* Licensed psychologist in the state of New Hampshire. Candidates licensed in other states who could transfer the license to New Hampshire are encouraged to apply.
* Graduate teaching or clinical supervision experience in counseling and/or school psychology is highly desired.
