Special Education Assessment Specialist

MAPS Center for Learning

A full-time (1.00 FTEs) position as a Special Education Assessment Specialist is available beginning with the 2024-25 school year.

Summary of Duties: The Assessment Specialist will engage in the following:

* Complete age appropriate special education screenings.

* Conduct comprehensive evaluations/assessments to determine current developmental levels of individual children.

* Review and analyze evaluations and other information to determine special education eligibility.

* Comply with due process timelines in regards to completing evaluation reports

* Maintain knowledge of current assessment practices, evaluation tools, monitor procedures to ensure compliance with district practices and state/federal regulations.

* Experience administering standardized assessments (e.g., Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement).

* Demonstrate the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members.

* Demonstrate the ability to manage workload/caseload responsibilities daily.

Qualifications Required:

MN licensure in Special Education required.
