FTE: 0.6, Shift: 12 hr, Schedule: Weekends 8am - 8pm

Location: Ideal candidate lives in Thurston County.

Shifts Available: 8- or 12-hour Day Shift

Typical Schedule:

(2) 12-hour shifts: Every Sat & Sun

(3) 8-hour shifts: Every Sat, Sun + 1 Weekday Shift (likely Friday or Monday)

Orientation: M-F 8am - 5pm, 4-6 Weeks, Training occurs largely in the home care environment. Must be able to Travel to Thurston, Pierce, Kitsap, and King County for training.

Travel: Must have operable vehicle and maintain car insurance. The Hospice RN provides care in Thurston, Pierce, Kitsap, King. When necessary, the Hospice RN will drive to and provide care to the patient in their private residence or facility.

Mileage: Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate.

Position Summary

We're seeking an RN to join our incredible MultiCare Hospice team. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care with a multidisciplinary approach.

Responsibilities

* You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis
* You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols
* Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction
* Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff and members of the health care team
* Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education agreement
* Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
* Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
* Current BLS Certification
* National Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing preferred
* One (1) year Home Health or Hospice experience preferred
* Minimum of one (1) year Medicare Certified Home Health or Hospice experience preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $47.22 - $83.96 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
