Information System Security Analyst (Senior - Level 4)

Pensacola, FL Our client is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Detection Analyst to play a crucial role in safeguarding our customer’s networks from cyber threats
This vital role is a part of a significant program focused on developing, implementing, and managing network operations, incorporating new cyber capabilities to tackle evolving threats
This role involves shift work, including nights and weekends
Key Duties: • Real-time identification, response, and neutralization of cyber threats on client networks, using advanced SEIM systems
• Keeping abreast of current cyber vulnerabilities, along with response and mitigation strategies
• Analyzing and identifying potential network intrusions to support client objectives
• Collaborating with various government cyber threat analysis groups, including both intra-agency and inter-agency teams
• Adhering to and maintaining the necessary Information Assurance training as per customer requirements
Essential Qualifications: • U.S
Citizenship is mandatory
• Active/current Top-Secret clearance required, with eligibility for TS/SCI
• DHS suitability must be obtained before employment commencement
• Minimum of 6 years' relevant experience (e.g., SOC/CIRT Analyst, Forensics Analyst, Penetration Tester, Threat Hunt Analyst)
• Proficiency in AWS security and cloud security investigations
• Current experience in incident response using Splunk
• Experience in penetration testing and various security investigations
• Expertise in Linux/Windows/Network administration
• Ability to work effectively across multiple agencies and locations
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Preferred Skills: • Experience in network surveillance/monitoring
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, devices, various operating systems, and secure architectures
• Proficiency in computer evidence seizure, forensic analysis, data recovery, and network forensics
• Experience with system log analysis and network traffic analysis
• Familiarity with current cyber threats, tactics, techniques, and procedures
• Experience in several of the following areas: network surveillance/monitoring, system/application/security log analysis, network traffic analysis
• Hands-on experience as a SOC Detection Analyst, Threat Hunter, Forensic Examiner, or Incident Responder
• Excellent technical writing skills in cybersecurity incident response
Desired Certifications: • Compliance with DoD 8570.1-M at IAT Level I (e.g., CISSP)
• Certifications like CCNP, CCSP, or similar
• Preferred certifications in ISSEP or ISSAP
• Desired certifications like SourceFire Certified Professional (SFCP)
• SANS GCIH or equivalent for Skill Level 1
• SANS GCFA, GCFR, or equivalent for Skill Level 2
• Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Administrator or higher
• AWS Certified Practitioner or higher
Education Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, security operations, computer science, or a related field; or a High School Diploma with 14 years of directly relevant experience.
