+ **Hospital:** St. Francis primary location, will also support surrounding hospitals.

+ **Location:** Wichita, Kansas

Stipend would be provided for those residing more than 60 miles to the facility. This is an Interim contract position.

**Responsibilities**

Direct development and implementation of infection control policies, procedures and strategies.

+ Direct the surveillance, remediation and reporting of infections across the organization.

+ Develop program goals, plans and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, regulatory/legal and ethical requirements and objectives of the organization.

+ Plan, organize, and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.

+ Prepare budgets and ensures compliance with allocated funding. Coordinate and directs internal/external audits.

+ Evaluate the infection control program by identifying strategies that address the risk of infection transmission and assessing the risk for occupational exposure to infectious diseases.

+ Lead the analysis and interpretation of data on healthcare associated infections, and recommends plans to optimize the outcomes.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

+ Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.

Work Experience:

+ 5 years of experience required.

+ 10 years of experience preferred.

+ 2 years of leadership or management experience required.

+ 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

**Additional Preferences**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ Certification specializing in Infection Control credentialed from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

+ RN not required.
