This Management and Program Analyst position is with the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), within U.S
Customs and Border Protection (CBP), in the Washington, DC office of the Assistant Commissioner of OPR
Eligibility: Veterans with VEOA eligibility; current or former federal employees with competitive status; federal employees who meet the definition of a surplus or displaced employee; and current and former Land Management employees who meet the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act
The Management and Program Analyst serves primarily as the audit and inspection program management subject matter expert and the tasking liaison for OPR
Duties and responsibilities include:
• Handling all Audit Program Manager duties as related reviews of CBP activities in which OPR has an equity by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Inspector General (IG) and the Government Accountability Office (GSO).
• Coordinating with Office of Accountability Management Inspections Division inspection engagements through identifying, gathering, consolidating, and submitting information in response to inquiries.
• Conducting reviews of audit and inspection action plans to determine impact and submit impact statements to leadership.
• Analyzing and interpreting policies, audit recommendations, and inspection findings to resolve problems and improve effectiveness and/or efficiency of operations
Providing recommendations based on the analysis to management.
• Reviewing tasks assigned to the Program Office to determine if there are office equities; assigning to the applicable divisions for action; consolidating responses from multiple divisions into one cohesive response; and tracking and monitoring the progress of the tasking until complete
Salary and Benefits
This position starts at a salary of $117,962.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $153,354.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $153,354.00 (GS-14, Step 10)

You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: • Reviewing and tracking documents, such as Briefing Papers and Congressional Reports, that have been routed to applicable divisions for revisions and responses.
• Assisting in conducting training to assist personnel in their preparation of audit and/or inspection action plans.
• Reviewing all audit submissions for substance, completeness, and the appropriate authorizations.
• Serving as liaison to internal and external customers for all audit and inspections engagements.
Education Substitution: There is no education substitution for the experience required at this grade level
