Position Summary
The Patient Support Representative provides patient access and registration services using exceptional custom service, communication and people skills. The Patient Support Representative performs multiple tasks in a busy atmosphere and follows all federal and state laws regarding the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) with special regards to patient privacy.
Responsibilities
* You will obtain necessary consents, signatures and documents from the patient and verify that the patient and insurance verification has been completed
* You will schedule patient appointments and collect any co-pays at the time of service
* You will identify any potential coverage issues or self-pay issues and engage the financial advocates when appropriate
* You will enter patient information and scan required documents in the computerized scheduling system
* You will monitor the order and cleanliness of the lobby and waiting areas to maintain customer safety in these areas
Requirements
* High school or GED equivalent education
* One year of experience

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.67 - $28.31 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
