Contract: One hundred eighty one (181) contract days / temporary contract.

Salary: District Special Ed. salary schedule.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Site Principal in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies and state law.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor of Arts degree in education with special education training.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate with special education endorsement.

Middle School Mild Special Education Teacher @ Cimarron MS

We are seeking a passionate, purposeful, and dedicated Middle School Mild Special Education Teacher to join our team

About the Role:

In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in shaping the lives of middle school young scholars with mild learning disabilities. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and general education teachers.
* Deliver engaging and effective instruction aligned with state standards, incorporating differentiated learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Utilize a variety of instructional methods and technology to promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
* Monitor student progress, analyze data, and adjust instruction accordingly.
* Foster open communication and collaboration with families, general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to ensure a comprehensive support system for students.
* Build positive and respectful relationships with students, promoting a sense of belonging and self-worth.

Our Ideal Candidate:

* Holds a valid state teaching certificate in Special Education (Mild/Moderate)
* Minimum of two years of successful experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students with mild learning disabilities.
* Strong understanding of child development, learning disabilities, and effective instructional strategies for diverse learners.
* Proven ability to differentiate instruction, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate effectively with a team.
* Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
* A passion for working with young scholars with disabilities and a commitment to their success.
* Positive, respectful, empathetic, and dedicated to fostering a growth mindset in students.
