Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. As an RN in the Neuro PCU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients with neurological conditions. This is a full-time position with 12-hour night shifts, three times a week.

Job Specifics:

- **Shift:** 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

- **Shifts per Week:** 3

- **Scheduled Hours:** 36 hours per week

- **Start Date:** 02/21/2024

**Unit Details:**

- 38-bed telemetry monitored nursing unit

- Team nursing model emphasizing collaboration

- Specialized care for neurological conditions including epilepsy, stroke, neurosurgery, and more

- 4 Bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit

- Comprehensive Stroke Center certified through Joint Commission

**Conditions Treated:**

- Hemicraniectomy

- Aneurysm Clip and Coils

- Glioblastomas

- Carotid Endarterectomy

- TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack)

- Stroke – Hemorrhagic and Ischemic

- Neurosurgery

- Seizures

- Brain Mass

**Qualifications:**

- **Education:** Graduation from an Accredited Nursing Program

- **Major:** Nursing

- **Certification/License/Registration:** Registered Nurse (RN)

- **Basic Life Support (BLS):** BLS required, or within 30 days of hire or transfer

**Client Notes:**

- Scrubs: ER staff wears black, all other nurses wear navy blue

- For temporary assignments, the facility will not accept nurses who live within 150 miles

- Nicotine testing required for all contract staff

- Cancellation Policy: At the will of the facility
