The Therapist is responsible for assessing client's mental health status, developing a client specific treatment plan, providing individual, group and family therapy and completing all required clinical documentation that is in compliance with KidsPeace and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties / Essential Functions

* Complete client assessments and develop a client centered, individualized treatment plan with each client.
* Designate client problem areas, assist client in formulating related goals and tasks and support client in achieving these goals via the completion of specific tasks.
* Provide individual, group and family therapy which directly address client treatment plan goals.
* Develop a discharge plan that meets the ongoing needs of each client.
* Complete all required documentation in a timely manner on KidsPeace approved forms and according to KidsPeace and regulatory standards.
* All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications (Education, Training and Experiences)

* Masters Degree in Human Services related field. Applicable state licensure or licensend eligible preferred.
* Minimum of two years experience in Human Services required.
* Experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred
* Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
* Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
* Must be 21 years of age.
