Central Dermatology Center is looking for an enthusiastic, courteous, and professional individual to join our Patient Service Center. The ideal candidate will be able to provide superior customer service over the phone in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and pleasant demeanor. Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service setting.

Essential Functions

Take all incoming appointment calls providing accurate answers with excellent customer service skills.

Ability to effectively respond to and prioritize calls from patients to ensure appropriate and timely scheduling.

Schedule appointments accurately for busy 20+ provider specialty practice.

Guide and transfer callers appropriately to various locations and departments efficiently.

Obtain and enter patient demographics accurately.

Obtain and verify insurance information.

Maintain the strictest confidentiality; adhering to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

Skills/Experience

Minimum of one year work experience in a customer service setting. Prior experience in a Medical, Dental or other Healthcare Practice is highly preferred.

Must have excellent phone etiquette to handle multiple calls at a time and route them appropriately. Word processing and computer experience is required.

Medical terminology helpful.

Education

High School graduate required.

Location/Transportation

Position is located in Durham, NC at our Administration Building. Our main office is Chapel Hill, NC. We have additional satellite locations in Cary, Raleigh,

Sanford and Pittsboro, NC. Candidates may be asked to train at our main office in Chapel Hill for a minimum of 2-3 weeks before being assigned to their

station. All candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to work full time, M-F between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Salary: $15-$17/hour, negotiable depending on education and experience
